Gary Nick Jenson, 40, of Ririe, Idaho, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) in Idaho Falls on Friday, January 19, 2024.
Nick was born on May 26, 1983, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gary Jenson and Penni Santiago (Pedersen). Nick attended Ririe High School in Ririe, Idaho, where he wrestled and played football.
He was a father to five girls, Nikylia Bramwell (Jenson), Jayme and Kaylee Jenson, and Brooklynn and Ellie Stubbs. He was in a committed relationship with Krista Stubbs (Petersen) of Saint Anthony at the time of his passing. Nick worked as a commercial painter in the Greater Idaho Falls Area.
He was a true outdoorsman, and spent almost all his spare time in the mountains fishing, hunting, horn hunting, rock hounding and picking berries. He was born to explore the earth. Full of adventure, he always welcomed anyone willing to join him on his journey. Doug McBride was always close by. Nick was the best pack mule around. He was known to do just about anything for an Ice House. He loved to float the rivers and canals, and always knew how to catch fish and other critters. He was an incredible camp cook and made legendary salsa. He was a loyal son, brother and friend. He lived his life with a smile. He had a great sense of humor, and could always get a smile out of you. He gave the best bear hugs. He will be missed tremendously by all who crossed his path.
Nick was survived by his partner, Krista Stubbs (Petersen) and five girls, Nikylia, Jayme, Kaylee, Brooklynn and Ellie; his parents, Gary and Terry Jenson (Jones) and Pat and Penni Santiago (Pedersen) of Nampa, Idaho; his siblings, Josh (Kelsi) Jones, Justin Christensen, Stephanie Jenson, Jessica (Nate) Padgett, and Lindsey Jenson, and grandma Kathryn Jenson. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Monte Jenson, grandparents Jack and Donna Pedersen, and his cousins, Tausha Barnett and Andrew Clark.
Family and friends are invited for a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 27, from 2-4 p.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home at 101 W Main Street in Rigby, Idaho.
