Gay Call Gallup, 72, of Ririe, Idaho, passed away at her home on April 9, 2026. She was born on April 29, 1953, to Albert Lyle Call and Mary Lou Nanney. She spent her life in southeast Idaho, where she built strong connections with family, friends, and her community.
Gay graduated from Rigby High School and later attended Eastern Idaho Technical College. Throughout her life, she worked at several local businesses, including Ririe Bar, Fresh Pak, Idaho Pacific, Past Time Bar, J Bar B Bar, Maverik, Reed Drug, Hillview, and Easy Stop. She also served as a bus driver for the Ririe School District, a role she truly enjoyed.
Gay was married three times. She was first married to Dale Braaten, and together they had two children, Becky and Danny. She later married Bill Fearheller, who helped raise Sarah, Becky and Dan. Her third marriage was to Golden Gallup.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in local women’s pool leagues, as well as bowling leagues in Rexburg and Idaho Falls. Gay had a love for life and enjoyed playing pool and darts, camping, fishing, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and especially visiting and talking on the phone with those she loved.
Gay will be remembered for her friendly nature, her love of people, and the joy she found in simple moments.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ririe Senior Center, 395 Main Street, Ririe, Idaho 83443.
