Gay Janet Reno

Gay Janet Reno, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls. Gay was born July 28, 1936, in Rigby to John Eddie Chase and Phoebe Arvida Griaff. She was raised on the family farm and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. On September 9, 1958, she married Norman Walter Reno in Clark, Idaho. They were blessed with 2 daughters. Due to an extended illness Gay lived in various assisted living centers, she loved the people she met there and enjoyed visiting with them. Gay is survived by her daughters, Julie (Steve) Sutton, of Iona, Susan (Grant) Frearson, of Irwin, sister, Edith Sage, of Las Vegas, Nevada. Brothers, Warren (DaLene) Chase, of Palisades, Blair (Ronda) Chase, of St. George, Utah. 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister Joan Ritter. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
