Gaye Lajeanne Hilker

Gaye LaJeanne Hilker, age 67, of Rigby, died at her home Monday, January 14, 2008. She was born July 8, 1940 at Long Beach, CA a daughter of Harold Bernard Hilker and Gwen “Toad” Brown Hilker. She spent time in Southern California, Iowa, and Japan before moving to Idaho Falls in 1952. In 1959 she moved to Rigby. She attended the St. Leon School for special needs. She was involved with the Joshua D. Smith Foundation and participated in the bowling nights. Gaye enjoyed bowling, animals, chores, making rugs, watching T.V., traveling to Jackpot and playing the penny slots, sleigh rides, Diet Coke and Kit Kats. She is survived by two brothers; Harold “Ron” (Bonnie) Hilker of Idaho Falls, and Mike (Ginger) Hilker of Rigby. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, Pastor Todd Wood, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. prior to services at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
