Gayle La-Nora Boland, 81, of Rigby passed away in her home Wednesday December 20, 2017. Gayle was born in Akron , Ohio on June 2, 1936 to Albert C Hixson and Margaret Opal Wallace. She grew up and attended school at West High in Columbus, Ohio. She was a very loving, giving, and Godly woman. She had a personal relationship with Jesus and was loved by many. Gayle volunteered at the Suicide and Crisis Intervention while she lived in Memphis, TN. She was involved with Aides Project Los Angeles, Samaritans Purse, God Stop Clothing for those in need, Prison Ministry, and was a contributor to St. Joseph Indian School for Orphans. She also contributed to food for the elderly Jew in Israel, Faith Fellowship Church in Newdale, North Carolina, St. Jude’s Children Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Fund. She was survived by her daughters, Karen Jones of Farmington, New Mexico, Kathey Cairns of Jacksonville, Florida, Judy Presnell of Burnsville, North Carolina, and Lori Centeno of Rigby, Idaho, and two sisters, Patricia Coontz of Medina, Ohio and Vicky O’Gara of Ketchum, Idaho. Along with 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Gayle was preceded by her parents Albert C Hixson and Margaret Opal Wallace. The family will hold a Celebration of Gayle’s Life on a later date. Services have been under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, Idaho.
