Gaylen Ray Andersen, 56, of Rigby, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Gardens of Rigby.
He was born April 24, 1954, in Rigby to Milton Waters Andersen and Mary Ardell Hunsaker. He was raised in Clark and attended schools in Rigby.
He worked as pool plasterer in Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Jackson, Wyoming, New Jersey, Montana and throughout the United States. He also worked as a mechanic in New Jersey.
Gaylen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He played pool on a pool league. He enjoyed cars, especially his Trans Am, bowling, riding horses, and fishing; he loved the mountains, and his family.
He is survived by his daughters; Heather Thalhiemer, Jessica Andersen, both of Virginia, sisters; Carol Kranz, DaLee Hansen, both of Rigby, Rhonda (David) Simons, of Spanish for, Utah, Judy (Nathan) Bridges, of Rigby, Debby Johnson, of Centennial, Colorado, brothers; Richard (Linda) Andersen, of Richmond Hills, Georgia, Dennis (Angie) Andersen, and Darius (Noreen) Andersen, all of Rigby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pamela Garland, and four Brothers, Larry, Marlen, Kyle, and Kim.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday evening and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Annis Little butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
