George William Price, 73, of Rigby, Idaho died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center.
George was born November 19, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho the son of William Lorin Price and Grace Lufkin Price. He attended Iona schools. He earned an Associates Degree from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, a Bachelors of Science Degree from Brigham Young University, a Masters of Library Science Degree from Clarian University, a PHd. at Indiana University in Education – Instructional Media, a Specialist Degree from Indiana University and a Post Doctoral Degree from Syracuse University.
He married Myrna Kathleen Clark in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 27, 1957. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2002.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served as a Branch President at the Slippery Rock Branch in Slippery Rock Pennsylvania for eight years. As a counselor in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Stake Presidency, on the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Stake High Counsel, as a mission leader and a stake missionary. He served a full time mission to Brazil and a couples mission to Portugal North Mission on the Azores Islands and Sao Miguel.
He served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955 as a Radioman 3rd Class.

He is survived by three daughters, Janet Lynn Price of Mesa, Arizona, Melony (Jed) Wilson of Ririe, Idaho and Kathleen Price of Tuscon, Arizona. Three sons, Vance G. (Wendie) Price of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Paul William (Shelly) of Kimberly, Idaho and Rodney Allan (Erika) Price of Cedar Hills, Utah. A sister, June White of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Fifteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Myrna Price and a brother Don Price.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby LDS Stake Center. The family will meet with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 3, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at the Rigby Stake Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Teton – Newdale Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
