Georgia Doreen Haws, 77, of Rigby, died January 4, 2009 at The Gables Assisted Living Center in Ammon.
She was born April 11, 1931, in Newdale, to Rayman Haws and Mary Olive Dodson Haws.
She was raised and attended schools in Newdale and Sugar City. She lived in Menan, Idaho Falls, and Rigby.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and bowled in the Rigby Bowling League.
She worked for Pillsbury in Shelley and at a mink farm in Menan.
Georgia enjoyed bowling, fishing, working puzzles, and working in her yard.
She is survived by a sister, Irene (Edward) Ross, of Ephrata, WA, and a brother, Rayman (Jane) Haws of Tucson, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dorothy Nelson, Beth Welker, Pearl Baker, Joyce Haws, brothers, Burton Haws, Reid Haws, Vance Haws, and Alan Haws.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, with Alan Jensen, conducting. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
