Gilbert Leroy Jones, age 83, of LaBelle, died Wednesday, December 25, 2002, at his home in
LaBelle.
Gilbert was born September 7, 1919, at Ucon, Idaho a son of Percy J. Jones and Nola Belle
Foglesong Jones. He served in the United States Army during World War II, in the Pacific
Theater and was awarded the Bronze Star, the Philippine Liberation with Bronze Star and the
Distinguished Unit Badge.
Gilbert married Evelyn Mae Kronberg April 5, 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He worked for the
United States Government as a Civil Servant Contracts Administrator.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held the office of
Elder.
He was a little league coach for many years. He liked to fish, hunt and back-pack.

17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter
and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Eckersell
Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street Rigby, Idaho) with Bishop James Bazil officiating.
The family will visit with friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday Evening from 6:00 to 8:00
p.m. and again on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer
