Glen LeRoy Morgan, 81, of Rigby, died Saturday, February 6, 2010, at his home.
He was born February 9, 1928, in Annis, to Emeral LeRoy Morgan and Janet Ellen Bruce Morgan. He was raised and attended schools in Lorenzo and Annis. On March 2, 1950, he married Betty Matilda Glenn in Garfield. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 2, 1951. He farmed and ran a dairy in the Rigby area for 60 years.
Glen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the High Priest Group as a Counselor and in the Elders Quorum. He was a member of the National Chariot Association for over 40 years. He also ran quarter horses in the Intermountain West.
He is survived by his wife; Betty Morgan, of Rigby, daughters; Marla (Ron) Bezold, of Phoenix, AZ, Karen Morgan, of Sandy, UT, Janet Colene (Roger) Stratford, of Clayton, CA, a son; Toni (Kollen) Morgan, of Rigby, sisters; Jeanine Nelson, Shirley Willmore, both of Rigby, Gayle (Blaine) Neiderer, of Rexburg, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby 4th Wards LDS Chapel 401 West 1st South, Rigby, with Bishop Craig Johnson of the Rigby 1st Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
