Gorden “Scott” Hansen, 64, of Rigby, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at his home.
He was born June 22, 1948 in Salina, Utah to Orvel Hansen and Lela Sorensen Hansen. He was raised and attended schools in Sevier, Utah. He continued his education at SLC Community College and graduated with a degree in plumbing. On April 7, 1967, he married Lynne Fisher in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He taught plumbing at Uintah Basin Vo-Tech, worked as a plumber in Utah and was the plumbing contractor for the Vernal LDS Temple. In 1997 he moved to Rigby where he owned and operated Academy Plumbing.
Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne Hansen, of Rigby, daughters, Richelle (Jim) Buschman, of West Jordan, Utah, Tina Murray, of Rigby, Kandice (Guy) Barker, of West Valley City, Utah, sons, Chris (Jackie) Ramsay, of Magna, Utah, Shayne (Jodi) Hansen, of Rigby, sisters, LaRee, Peggy, Norma, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Fern, of Green River, Wyoming, brothers, Stan Hansen, of Rigby, Jay Hansen, of Nevada, Bud (Helen) Williams, of Ogden, Utah, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
