Gordon Brown Roberts, age 89, of Rigby, Idaho passed away peacefully April 21, 2024.

Gordon was born on August 27, 1934 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Alpha and Isis Mildred Brown Roberts. He spent his childhood in the Sugar City area where the sand dunes and junipers were his playground.  After losing his mother at a young age, he moved to Idaho Falls, graduating from Bonneville High School and then joined the Army.  Gordon met the love of his life, Irma Rabe, while stationed in Germany.  They were married in Germany and later moved back to the United States where they started their family together.  They spent a few years in Utah before moving back to Idaho where Gordon worked as a Parts Manager for over 35 years. Gordon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of his true passions was restoring, from scratch, a 1949 Chevy pick-up truck. Gordon spent many weekends at various car shows but never missed a chance to attend Rigby Hot Classic Nights. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, riding four-wheelers and motorcycles.  He loved exploring the mountains with his family and friends.  Spending time with them was his greatest joy.

Gordon is survived by his wife Irma, of 69 years; 3 children, Susan (Hal) Skinner of Rigby, Idaho, Scott Roberts, of Rigby Idaho, Kim (Alan) Cottle of Menan Idaho; 10 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Bing (Diane) Roberts of Rigby, Idaho, Bruce Roberts of Rexburg, Idaho, Charles Roberts of Rexburg, Idaho and a sister, Jill Roberts of Salt Lake City, Utah. Gordon was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Ellen Fell and Cindy Roberts, a son, Ricky Roberts, a brother, Gary Roberts, a sister, Darlene Belnap, a grandson, Clinton Fell, and a great-grandson, Watson Skinner.
