Grant "Jay" Roberts

Grant “Jay” Roberts, age 50, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015, peacefully in his sleep at his home in Menan. He was born January 26, 1965 to Grant Jensen Roberts and Shirley Winegar Roberts; he was the 3rd of 4 children and the oldest son. Jay married Joan McNee in 1984 and later divorced. This union gave Jay two wonderful sons, Jared and Jacob. Jay loved his sons more than anyone could imagine. Jay met and fell in love with Glenda Gay Rawson. They were married January 24, 2012 and made their home together in Menan. Jay is survived by his wife, Glenda of Menan, his sons, Jared Roberts of Rigby, Jacob (Stashia) Roberts of Kemmerer, WY, his sisters, and brothers, Teresa (Dan) McRae of Rexburg, Barbara (Aaron) Mains of St. Anthony, Jeff (Kris) Roberts, of Rexburg, and two grandchildren J.D and Izabella, and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant J. Roberts and Shirley Winegar Souza and one nephew, Chase Voss. Arrangements and private family services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life for close family and friends will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby.
