It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Aguilar vda Lopez. She was born on December 4, 1947, in Aguililla, Michoacán, México. She passed away on February 24, 2025, surrounded by love and cherished memories.
Guadalupe was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her life was filled with resilience, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. Migrating to Idaho with her family, she was seeking new opportunities and a brighter future.
Throughout her life she worked tirelessly to provide for her loved ones, always placing the needs of her children and grandchildren first. Known for her independence and strong-willed nature, Guadalupe faced life’s challenges with courage and determination. No matter the obstacle, she remained steadfast and strong. She will forever be a true example of perseverance and strength. A pillar of unwavering faith.
One of her greatest joys was gardening, a passion that brought her peace and satisfaction. Her hands tended to the earth, and her vibrant gardens were a reflection of her love for life. She also loved to walk around the town of Menan, Idaho, where she was a beloved and legendary figure, known for her warmth, friendly nature, and presence in the community.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by her best friend and husband Tranquilino and three children, Mario, Juanita and Benjamin. While her passing leaves a profound void, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Her legacy of hard work, love for family, and connection to the earth will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is survived by her sister Maria of Menan. Sons Eduardo( Tammy) Lopez of Idaho Falls, Bulmaro López of Rosario México and Daughter Graciela López of Idaho Falls. Her legacy of 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandkids and 1 great great grandchild will forever carry on her life and love.
Please accompany us in celebrating her life. Viewing will be at Eckersell Funeral Home Sunday March 2nd from 5:00-7:00pm. Address is 101 w Main street Rigby, Idaho. Her final mass will be Monday March 3rd at 11. It will be at St. Anthonys in Roberts. 659 2872 E. Roberts, Idaho. We will gather to celebrate her at the Town Hall in Menan after her service.
