Gwendolin Donna Groom

Gwendolin “Gwen” Donna Groom age 82, of Garfield died at Pinebrook Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls, Monday, March 26, 2007. She was born May 5, 1924, the only daughter of Joseph R. Smith and Eliza Ann Maxfield Smith. She spent her youth and attended school in Coltman, graduated from Ucon High School in 1942 and later attended The Business College in Idaho Falls. She married Rex C. Groom January 20, 1944 in the Salt Lake City Utah, L.D.S. Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, worked on the farm with her husband and did the bookkeeping for Rex's Repair and Auto. She is survived by her Husband Rex C. Groom of Garfield, and a daughter Kate (Ian) Conyard of Waterloo, Ontario Canada, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers. A private family service will be held Saturday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to a charity of your choice.
