Gwyneth Irene Summers Schwartz

Gwyneth Irene Summers Schwartz, 84, of Terreton, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 in Terreton. Gwyneth was born February 8, 1922, in Rexburg, Idaho a daughter of Charles Henry Fisher and Ida Mae McKenna Fisher. She was raised and attended school in Rexburg and graduated from Sugar City High School. Gwyneth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After high school she attended Grooms School of Beauty and Cosmetology in Idaho Falls. Gwyneth married Neldon J. Summers on February 10, 1942 in Rexburg, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple in 2003. Neldon preceded her in death. She then married Leon Schwartz. He preceded her in death. Gwyneth enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading. She is survived by one daughter, Eva Jo (David) Long of Millington, Michigan, four sons, LaVar (Brenda) Summers of Mud Lake, Wayne “Bud” (Jan) Summers of Salmon, Karl (Patti) Summers of Emmett, Ron (Janet) Summers of Ketchikan, Alaska and three step-sons, Douglas (Diane) Schwartz of Overton, Nevada, Bob Schwartz of Washington, and Ferin (Sheri) Schwartz of Pocatello, 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Gwyneth was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two daughters, Charlotte and Carma and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August14, 2006 at the Terreton Stake Center with Bishop Jay Simmons conducting. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. and prior to the service on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. both at the Stake Center. Interment will be at the Goshen Cemetery in Shelley.
