Hannah Milldred Chapman Phillips

Hannah Milldred Chapman Phillips, 88, of Rigby, died at her home Friday, November 16, 2007. Hannah was born October 10, 1919, at Bayard, Nebraska, a daughter of Henrie and Amelia Kaufman. She was raised in the Bayard and Scottsbluff, Nebraska area and attended schools there. On July 7, 1937 she married W.D. “Don” Chapman in Bridgeport, Nebraska. They had one daughter Donna Joanne Chapman. Both Don and Donna preceded her in death. On August 8, 1980 she married Eugene Phillips in Jackpot, Nevada. She lived and worked most of her adult life in Rigby, Idaho. She was a waitress at Herb’s Place for many years. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Anthony Lamoreaux and Lisa Trejo, and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband Eugene Phillips of Rigby, her family Secrita Iverson and Rick Lamoreaux of Rigby, stepdaughters: Connie (Howard) Nelson, Sandra (Doug) Wood, Nancy (Ken) Johnson, Donna Farnes, Step sons: Alan (Idana) Phillips and Rodney (Naomi) Phillips, sister Hilda Ummel, brother Eddie Kaufman. Hannah enjoyed music, dancing, camping, and fishing at the local reservoirs with her grandkids. The family expresses there gratitude to Hospice of Eastern Idaho for there excellent care and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Rigby Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
