Harold Frank Baker, 60, of Menan, died Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born June 30, 1951, in Rigby, to Norman Baker and Josephine Smith Baker. He was raised and attended schools in Ammon and graduated from Bonneville High School. On April 14, 1979, he married Maria Torres in Menan. They later divorced.
He worked as a truck driver for Golden Valley, Cedar Point, Larsen Farms, Storer Trucking, Skaar Feed Lot, Kingston Produce, Fresh Pak, and Eddy’s Bread. He was a member of the Jefferson County Posse, and the National Cutter Association. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, raising horses, attending horse races, and John Wayne movies. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his children, Mandy (Jared) Funk, of Menan, Jared Baker, of Idaho Falls, sister, Leona (Ted) Walker, of Prineville, Oregon, brothers, Michael (Vesta) Baker, of Ammon, Andy (Sue) Baker, of St. Anthony, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 26, 2011, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, Thursday evening and from 9:30 to 10:45 am, prior to services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Memorial Contributions may be made to Eckersell Memorial Chapel in his name.
