Harold A Greenhalgh

Harold A Greenhalgh passed away November 14, 2004 in Idaho Falls, Idaho surrounded by loving family. He was born November 23, 1925 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Leonard Peter and Annie Martha Allen Greenhalgh. He was the 7th of 9 children. He attended schools in St. Anthony graduating from St. Anthony High School and joined the Navy thereafter. He did boot camp at Farragut, Idaho and then attended Iowa State College to be a machinist. From there he worked on engines on an LST in the Philippines during the war. He married Colleen Mary Wickham in St. Anthony on August 3, 1946. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in August 1958. He worked at West Yellowstone and then for Union Pacific in Pocatello. He then worked for General Electric and then Argonne West until retirement in 1991. He was active in the LDS Church serving in various callings with Temple worker being his choicest blessing. In earlier years he loved hunting and fishing with his wife’s brothers. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He created many beautiful clocks most of which were wedding gifts for his grandchildren. He devoted most of his time to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities, projects and special events. He is survived by his wife Colleen of Rigby, his daughters Susan (Lynn) Moses of Driggs, Leanna (Scott) Riddle of Ogden and Jolene (Marshall) Hurst of Coeur‘d’Alene, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 brother Floyd and 2 sisters Pat (Glendon) Hunt and Carma Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby 4th Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Rex Miller officiating. There will be a viewing Thursday, November 18th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Friday from 10:00 until time of service at the Church. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
