Harold “Hal” Vilhauer, 61 of Rigby, Idaho died at his home on August 20, 2003 after a valiant battle with cancer. Hal was born on September 16, 1941 in Rupert, Idaho the son of Herman and Ruth Vilhauer. He was raised and attended schools in Rupert, Idaho graduating from Minico High School. He attended Carbon College in Price, Utah on a football scholarship. He attended Idaho State Technical College in Pocatello and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1971, with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Hal married Lida Mikes in April of 1972. They later divorced. Hal married Teresa Colet Mueller Zundel on February 25, 1995 in Reno, Nevada. He was a member of the Jefferson Hills Golf Course and the Toastmasters. Hal worked for Bechtel at the INEEL as a mechanical engineer for the past 25 years retiring in May of 2001. Hal enjoyed golfing, bowling, spending time with his family, and traveling. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2003 at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street Rigby, Idaho 83442) at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet with friends on Friday prior to the services from 9:30 a.m until 10:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
