Heber James Hammon, 44 of Idaho Falls, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at his home.
He was born September 16, 1968, in Idaho Falls to Dean Waters Hammon and Barbara Mae Barnes Hammon. He was raised in Menan and attended schools in both Menan and Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. He then attended and graduated from Vogue Beauty School, and continued his education at Eastern Idaho Technical College in Idaho Falls, studying business. He worked at JC Penny Hair Salon, owned and operated his own salon, and worked for Wells Fargo in Idaho Falls. He then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked for a paper company. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he enjoyed the warm weather. Heber was living in Idaho Falls at the time of his death.
Heber loved horses and dogs; he especially loved his dogs Molly and Hershey.
He is survived by his sisters, Telecia Ann (Stan) Davenport, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Delaina Mae (Keith) Scholes, of Rigby, Shawna Jean (Jeff) Gustad, of Miles City, Montana, Jaralyn Gay Christesen, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, brothers, Dennis Dean (Cheri) Hammon, of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bradley Kay (Kathryn) Hammon, of Idaho Falls, Darrel Levi (JoAnne) Hammon, of Pleasant Grove, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece, Aleshia Joan Hammon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
