Hector Lopez Barrios, 65 of Lewisville died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at his home.
He was born March 26, 1948 in Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico to Franciso Lopez Gevara and Amelia Barrios-Lopez. He was raised in Sonora Mexico until age 18; he then lived in the St. Anthony and Ashton areas. He logged in Island Park and Bone, Idaho until 2000, and then moved to Lewisville in 2012.
Hector loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He took pride in raising a beautiful garden and enjoyed sharing the harvest with family and friends. Hector adored his dogs and thought of them as part of his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Dorinda (Roberto) Abreo of Idaho Falls, Maria Elena (Pablo Escobar) Leon, of Lewisville, Imelda Lopez Silva, sons, Hector Lopez Silva Jr. Elarion Lopez Silva, all of Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico, Frankie (April) Lopez of Bluff City, Tennessee, brothers Rolando b. Lopez, of Queen Creek, AZ, Luis B. Lopez, of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, Rodolfo B. Lopez, of Sahuaripa, Mexico and Phoenix, AZ, Francisco B. Lopez, of St. Anthony, Manuel de Jesus B. Lopez, of Sahuaripa, Mexico, 10 grandchildren, Jr. Leon, Isael Leon, Jazel Escobar, Luis Vargas, Jose Luis Perez, Roberto Abreo Jr., Jose Antonio Abreo, Ruben Abreo, Jasmine Abreo, Julio Abreo and 7 great-grandchildren, Iziah Vargas, Khianna Vargas, Jazlyn Vargas, Kallie Perez, Jeselle Perez, Dylan Lopez and Tyler Lopez.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
