Hector Sanchez

Hector Sanchez better known as (aka Junior, Big Chach and El Chiquilin) a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend was born and raised in Sylmar, California 10/04/1981. At the age of 22 in 2004 he moved to Lewisville, Idaho making this his home until his passing at Life Care in Idaho Falls, Idaho on 01/03/2025 at the young age of 43.

Junior loved football and played offensive line for the Sylmar Spartans at Sylmar High School, where he was a DAWG! He was an

avid sports fan. He loved his Dallas Cowboys most of all! The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Lakers came in a close second.

Family was at the core of Junior’s life, and he held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews. He cherished the

time spent with them, whether it was taking them to see the latest movies, or taking them out to eat. Although he never had

children of his own, he poured his heart into being a supportive and loving uncle, always showering them with affection, guidance,

kindness and gifts throughout the year—not just during holidays, birthdays or special occasions.

Junior made friends EVERYWHERE he went. His stature made him look big and scary but he was a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. His jovial, loving and kind nature will be remembered and missed by all.

He was preceded in death by Grandparents Maria Feliz and Guadalupe Ocampo, Grandfather Isauro Sanchez.

He is survived by his Grandmother Mariana Moreno Chavez, His parents Griselda and Hector Sanchez Sr and his three younger

brothers Ernesto Sanchez, Ernando Sanchez and Manuel Sanchez.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in the St. Patrick Catholic Church (38 South 3rd West, Rexburg, ID 83440). A viewing and rosary will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID 83442) on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
