Helen Bertha Crank

Helen Bertha Crank, age 70, of Rigby, died at her home, Tuesday, April 15, 2008. She was born December 17, 1937, at Idaho Falls, a daughter of Arch G. Call and Vilate Ballantyne Call. She attended Rigby schools, graduating from Rigby High School. She continued her education at Ricks College. She earned her Nursing Degree from the Idaho Falls LDS School of Nursing in 1959, and served as a Registered Nurse for forty-four years. November 7, 1964, she married Floyd Kee Crank in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Temple Worker, Girls Camp Leader for many years, and as a Visiting Teacher. She also gave decades of service in the Scouting Program. Helen was a gymnast, athlete, avid gardener, and helped establish emergency services in Rigby. She is survived by her husband Kee Crank of Rigby, daughters, Rachel (Jeff) Anderson and Sheryl L. (Dustin) Coles, both of Rigby, a son, Michael K. (Janice) Crank of Idaho Falls, a sister, Nina (Dar) Simmons of Chico, CA and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at the Rigby 1st and 4th ward LDS Chapel, 401 W. 1st South, Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
