Helen Alene Dodge

Helen Alene Dodge, 67, of Rancho Cordova, California died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. Helen was born March 3, 1940, in Rigby, Idaho a daughter of Carl Edward Dodge and Della Elvina Rohwer Dodge. She was raised and attended school in Menan and Rigby. She attended Steven’s Henegar Business College in her late twenty’s in Ogden, Utah, and Eastern College of Montana in her mid forties with an emphasis in Psychology. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very meticulous, loved to knit, crochet, do anything with her hands and mind, learn about other religions and faiths, and embraced the Native American way of life and spirituality. Helen is survived by her daughter Vicky Dodge of Sacramento, California, two sons, Vic (Connie) Yates of Idaho Falls, Idaho Alec (Patty) McClure of Garfield, Idaho, two sisters, Jessie Smith of Shelton, Idaho Alice Gray of Blackfoot, Idaho, three brothers, Bill (Joyce) Dodge of Dubois, Idaho, Dennis (Vicky) Dodge of Fort Worth, Texas, Wayne (Connie) Gray of Shelley, Idaho, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, Idaho. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
