Herbert “Herb” Floyd Winger, age 67, of Idaho Falls died Monday, August 27, 2007 at his home.
Herb was born May 13, 1940 at Driggs Idaho, a son of Floyd Winger and Anna Laura Merch Winger. He was raised in the Driggs and Rigby areas and graduated from Rigby High School. July 9, 1965 he married Edna Gaye Lemmon, they later divorced. He entered the U.S. Army in June, 1959 where he served for six years. He worked for H & K Construction in Idaho Falls as a Superintendent of Highway Construction for 35 years. Herb enjoyed a very close and loving friendship with Helen Wilson for many years. He also enjoyed his grandchildren Brent Winger, Tyler Winger, Daniel Winger, Alex Winger, and Dillon Winger as well as Justin Flitton and Leksi Peterson.
Herb is survived by one son; Bart Steven Winger of Idaho Falls, two daughters; Tonia Peterson of Idaho Falls, Tami (John) Darfler of Idaho Falls, a sister Beverly Rawsen of Ogden, UT and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson Brady Steven Winger.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Annis little Butte Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, Pastor John Darfler, officiating.
