Hiram Jackson Robison, Jr. age 58, of Roberts, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg.
Hiram was born September 25, 1948 at Ancon, Panama Canal Zone, a son of Hiram Jackson Robison Sr. and Evelyn Elaine Cook Robison. Hiram was raised and attended schools in Panama. Later the family moved to Van Nuys California where he graduated from Van Nuys High School and attended Pierce Jr. College. He continued his education at EITC in Idaho Falls. July 6, 1973, he married Christy Jo Surerus, their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Hiram was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to the East Central States. He was also a security officer at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple for sixteen years. Hiram taught English in the Spanish community, enjoyed working on cars, fishing, sailing and flying kites.
Hiram is survived by his wife, five daughters, Sarah (Joab) Fedorff of Idaho Falls, Carrie (Frank) Unger, of Port Ritchie, FL, Christy (Daren) Jepperson of Preston, Carly (Heeth) Bennett of Malad, Felecia Robison of Roberts, two sisters, Mary Ann Meyer of West Valley, UT, Nancy (Alan) Heaps of West Valley, UT, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Nina Catherine.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Roberts 1st Ward Chapel, Bishop Dennis W. Snarr officiating. The family will meet with friends at the Roberts 1st Ward Church from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
