Ida “June” Crowder, 96 of Lewisville died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Pine Brook Assisted Living Center in Rigby.
June was born April 16, 1917 in Big Horn Basin, Wyoming to Thomas Katen Riley and Ella Rebecca Snyder Riley. She was raised and attended schools in Burlington, Wyoming. On January 1, 1938 she married Wilmer Ernest Crowder in Worland, Wyoming; their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with 3 children. In 1960 the family moved to Idaho. June worked in various local potato warehouses.
June was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and was a member of the Eagles Club in Cody, Wyoming. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is survived by her sons, Grant (Sherry) Crowder, of Roberts, Thane, (Shirley) Crowder, of Rigby, 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Eloise W. Crowder.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby prior to services at the Cemetery.
