Ida L. Palmer, age 87, of Shelley, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 at her home.
She was born December 31, 1920, in Lehi, Ut., a daughter of George Fredrick Kemp and Laura Louisa Butt. She attended schools in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High School.
On May 14, 1953, she married George Worthing, in Magna, Utah; their marriage was solemnized October 19, 1955 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. George passed away Jan. 17, 1992. December, 29, 1992 she married Lee Palmer in Yuma Arizona, he passed away July 7, 2005.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served 4 missions. She worked for the U.S. Government in the Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Ida loved traveling, especially cruises and enjoyed doing crafts.
She is survived by one brother, William (Marle) Kemp of Magna, UT, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a daughter Laura Kay Day, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
