Ila Barbara Anderson Fisher, 85, of Rigby Idaho, died April 11, 2010 at her home from a stroke. Ila was born October 30, 1924 in Clark, Idaho, the daughter of James C. Anderson and Martha Perry Anderson. She graduated from Rigby High School and, in 1942, she married the love of her life, Kenneth J Fisher. They were married for 47 years. He passed away on March 29, 1990. Ila enjoyed her family and taking care of her home. She was an artist, a seamstress, and enjoyed working in her yard. Her first love was the church, in which she actively participated throughout her life. She and Kenneth spent the winters in Yuma, Arizona where both enjoyed many long-lasting friendships. Upon Kenneth’s passing, she continued each year to travel there, enjoying the sunshine, shuffleboard, swimming and many hours of playing games. Ila is survived by her children: Richard B Fisher (Lori), Dennis K Fisher (Cheryl), Steven L Fisher and Lynda I Fisher-Petersen (Kim), and a sister, Ada Brown. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 granddaughter, 1 great-granddaughter, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at the Rigby 7th Ward LDS Chapel, with Bishop Robert Devine, conducting. Te family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, in Rigby, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
