Imogene Mae (Welper) Pillard, 91, a resident of Fairwinds at Sandcreek, died on the 28th of October, 2016. Born in Amherst, CO in 1925, she was the daughter of Herbert and Meta Leben. Imogene attended St. Paul Lutheran School and Holyoke High School. She worked for the Social Security Administration in Colorado Springs, CO for 35 years. During her career, she was honored numerous times for her service and was a member of the American Business Women's Association.
She loved gardening, flower arranging, studying Far East cultures, foreign travel and volunteering at her church. She was a lifelong and faithful member of the Lutheran church.
She was married to Merle A. Pillard for 54 years. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Marcene Gardner of Lincoln, NE and sons Kevin P. Pillard of Bozeman, MT, Kurtis V. Pillard (wife Beth) Colorado Springs, CO, a daughter, Naomi R. Schilling (husband David A.) Rigby, ID. Grandchildren Daniel Schilling, Carrie Wilhelm, Morgan and Mallory Pillard. Great-grandchildren Samantha Schilling, and Chloe and Cooper Wilhelm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Crown of Life in Rigby on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 7pm.
