Ira "Sonny" Henry Spaulding

Ira “Sonny” Henry Spaulding, 78, of Ririe, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born September 1, 1932, in Choke Cherry, Idaho, to Ira George Spaulding and Christine Marie Gladys Thompson. He was raised in Choke Cherry and attended schools in Antelope, Heise, Ririe, and graduated from Ririe High School. Sonny worked for the US Forest Service, building fences and doing maintenance on the boat docks at Palisades. He was a life time member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed being outdoors, loved animals and reading and always had a little dog. He is survived by a sister, Ellen Mason of Ririe and a niece, Christine (John) Littleton, of Twin Falls, Nephews, James (Jainie) Mason, of Idaho Falls, Don Mason, of Idaho Falls, Dwight (Kim) Mason, of Ucon, niece, Valerie Fullmer, of Sunnydell, and his beloved dog, Corky He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and a sister, Elaine Fullmer. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
