Irene E. Johnson

Irene E. Johnson, mother of Bert (AliceMarie) Johnson of Ririe, Idaho, passed from this life on October 1, 2008 at Idaho Falls, Idaho. Irene was born at Mandan, North Dakota on April 20, 1917 to Christian Lars Larsen and Hilda Christine (Lahren) Larsen. She married Einar Johnson, 1938 at Spanaway, Washington. They lived most of their lives in the Tacoma, Washington area. She and Einar spent several years in Alaska on various construction jobs after the Alaska earthquake. Irene had seven grandchildren: Cristel (Jeremy) Davidson of Kent, Wa., Lynn Johnson of Kent, Wa., Michael Johnson of Ririe, Idaho, Eric (Tosha) Johnson of Ririe, Idaho, and Dusty (Leah) of Firth, Idaho. There are 18 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-great Grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Einar, son Robert Johnson, Granddaughter Tammy Johnson and Grandson Rick Johnson. Her request was to return to her beloved Mt. Rainer in Washington State. Any remembrances may be sent to Hands of Hope Hospice, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
