Iris B. Weekes, age 72, of Rigby, died at Rexburg Nursing and Rehab, Saturday, May 24, 2008. Iris was born April 20, 1936 at Pingree, Idaho a daughter to Harold Pea and Thelma Walters Pea. She was raised by her step Father Henry Floyd Andrus of Garfield, Idaho. She attended several schools in the Rigby area. She received her L.P.N. training in Idaho Falls and later graduated from Ricks College as a Registered nurse. She enjoyed serving in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also enjoyed singing in the choir, oil painting, doing various crafts and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, pets and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Kari (Kirk) Huskinson of Rexburg and Jeri (Bryant) Jacobson of Rigby, two sons Chad (Lorraine) Weekes of Filer, Idaho and Jody (Suzanne) Weekes of Rexburg, three sisters Rose (Reece) Bowen of Pocatello, Terri (Darwin) Palmer of Twin Falls and Lisa (Jeff) Wood of West Valley City, Utah, four brothers Cliff (Eva) Andrus of Olympia, Washington, Lyle (Gloria) Andrus of Sequim, Washington, Rex Andrus of Idaho Falls, Chris Andrus of Richland, Washington, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and Stepfather Henry Floyd Andrus, two brothers Harold Eldon Andrus and Floyd Andrus and one sister Cleone Hedrick. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, at the LaBelle 2nd Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Jason Dahl officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday May 27, 2008 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the LaBelle Church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
