Isaac Ben Gunderson

Isaac Ben Gunderson, 16 of Menan, died Monday, July 18, 2011, in Grace, Idaho, from injuries sustained in a plane crash. He was born December 31, 1994 in Rexburg, Idaho to Norman Ben Gunderson and Lauren Andersen Gunderson. He attended Midway Elementary, Rigby Jr. High, Rigby High School and participated in football, band, and had enrolled in Eastern Idaho Technical College. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in the Deacons Quorum Presidency. He was very adventurous and outgoing. He enjoyed working with his father in electrical construction and recently began an electrical apprenticeship with him. His interests include riding motorcycles, camping, skateboarding, snowboarding, flying with his father, and hanging out with his friends. He is survived by his mother, Lauren Andersen Gunderson, twin sisters Abbie and Amy (9) Gunderson of Menan, Sadie Gunderson (19), of Idaho Falls, and brother Bryant Gunderson (22), who is serving in the Arcadia, California Mission for the LDS Church, and grandmother, Nola Gunderson Hale, of Menan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kay Ben Gunderson, and passed away with his father, Norman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Menan LDS Stake Center 698 N. 3600 E., Menan. The family will receive friends Friday evening viewing from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday 11:30-12:45 at the Menan LDS Stake Center. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
