Isabel Murillo Valdivia

Isabel Murillo Valdivia, 72, of Rigby, Idaho died Friday, September 11, 2026. He was born on July 8, 1954, in el Olvido Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Jose Murillo Morelos and Alicia Murillo Valdivia.

Isabel attended schools in Mexico before moving to the United States. He lived in West Covina, California and in Rigby, Idaho. He worked for Challenger Pallet and as a Production Specialist at Dickenson’s Frozen Food.

Isabel had a strong belief in Christ. Simple things in life made him happy. He enjoyed listening to music, nature, gardening, watching soccer, going on long trips, looking at scenery, grilling, and most of all spending time with his family.

Isabel is survived by his children; Sarahi Murillo of Rigby, ID, Samantha Isabel Murillo of Sugar City, ID, Jose Alberto Murillo of UT, and David Murillo of Rigby, ID. His mother, Alicia Murillo Valdivia of Rigby, Idaho. Sisters; Emelia Murillo of Colorado, Josephina Murillo of Mexico, Adulfa Murillo of Rigby, ID, Julie Murillo of Rigby, ID, Nancy Falcon of Rigby, ID, Marina Murillo of Rigby, ID, and Anahi Murillo of Idaho Falls, ID. Brothers; Antonio Murillo of Rigby, ID, Victoriano Murillo of Mexico, and Frutoso Murillo of Mexico. He has one grandchild, Eileen Azari Murillo Monterrosa.

Isabel was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Marlene Rivas de Murillo, his father, Jose Murillo Morelas, and a brother, Friolan Murillo.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID) from 6:00 to 7:30 pm
