James "Bud" H. Frew, 87, of Roberts, ID, died Tuesday, January 07, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born November 25, 1926 in Clarkston, UT to Stanley W. Frew and Lillie Jardine Frew. He was raised and attended schools in Roberts. Bud also ranched in the Roberts area. He worked at Simplot Soil Builders in Roberts and Osgood. He served with the Merchant Marines during WWII in the Pacific and Atlantic Theatre. Throughout his lifetime, Bud enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Bud is survived by his daughter Jerry Ervin Cowley of Boise, ID, his son Jim (Sharon) Frew of Roberts, ID, his two sisters Elizabeth Aldous of Blackfoot, ID, Mary (Ray) Treasure of Vancouver, WA, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Mae Ellis Frew, two daughters Jacquline and baby girl, and his four brothers Lorin Frew, John Frew, Dick Frew and Bill Frew.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 W. Main St. Rigby, ID. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery in Annis.
