James Douglas Hiaring

January 11, 1958 — August 3, 2015

James Douglas Hiaring, age 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away at Morning Star Assisted Living Center Monday August 3, 2015. James was born January 11, 1958 in Nampa, Idaho a son to Carl Leroy Hiaring and Evalyn Mellisa Allen Hiaring. He attended schools in Boise and graduated from Boise High School. While in high school he enjoyed playing football. Following High School he served in the Idaho National Guard. He married Christine Miller in Idaho Falls on October 14th 1980. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple April 14th 1983. He was employed at Argonne National Laboratory as a Maintenance Specialist. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He taught Primary and was active in the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed fishing, archery, gold panning and playing the guitar. He is survived by his wife Christine Miller Hiaring of Idaho Falls; a daughter Krisheena Hiaring Castro of Idaho Falls; three sons, Christopher (Heidi) Mortensen of Richland, Washington, Joshua James Hiaring and Zachary Douglas Hiaring both of Idaho Falls, his father Carl Leroy Hiaring of Boise, three sisters Lisa Ann (Lee) Wilson, Suellen (Floyd) Case, and Laura (Scott) Atken all of Nampa, Idaho, three brothers Carl Lynn (Sandy) Hiaring of Twin Falls, Mark Andrew Hiaring and David Lee Hiaring both of Boise and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Evalyn and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at the Ucon LDS Ward, 10854 N. 41 E. Ucon, Idaho Monday, August 10th at 11:00 a.m. The family will visit with friends on Sunday August 9th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main Street, Rigby and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
