James Ray Hunting

James Ray Hunting, 68, of Rigby, passed away at his home, Sunday, February 28th 2016. He was born January 1st 1948 in Rigby, Idaho a son to James Lyle Hunting and Ila Jean Leonard Hunting. He attended Rigby Schools graduating from Rigby High School in 1966. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Sherri Lynn Spaulding, September 8th 1978 in Rigby, Idaho. He was an avid golfer. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. His grandkids were his life. He is survived by his wife Sherri Hunting of Rigby, two sons, Micheal (Risa) Monson of St. George, Utah and Gary (Lisa) Monson of Rigby, a sister, Laura Perkins of Layton, Utah, a brother, Kay (Jeanie) Hunting of Menan, four grandchildren, McKenna, Cassidy, Mya and Broadie and one great grandchild Brexton. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Carey and Baby Hunting and a granddaughter Ashlee Reese Monson. Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho, at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5th 2016. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
