James R Johnson, 92 of Idaho Falls, Idaho died Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
James was born April 3, 1917 in Rigby, Idaho a son of Charles Albert Johnson and Christina Adamson Johnson.
He was a graduate of Van Nuys High School in Van Nuys, California. He attended University of Southern California. He belonged to the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International. He was a Pastor for New Hope Anchor Fellowship church. James married Mildred Irene Johnson. He worked for Lockheed Aircraft as an inspector. He enjoyed hiking the Iona hill, backpacking the John Muir trail, golfing, gardening, hunting and skiing.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Lynn Johnson of Idaho Falls, Melanie Christine Denno of Vancouver, Washington, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Mildred Johnson, a daughter, Marilyn Lee Hamlin, his brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at The Calvary Chapel, 4250 S. 25th E., Idaho Falls. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, immediately following the luncheon. Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home.
