James L. Sadler passed away in American Fork, Utah on Sunday morning July 27, 2008.
He was the son of Wallace Ford Sadler and Dorothy Taylor Sadler. He was born on April 6, 1946 in Magna, Utah just minutes before his twin brother, John. As a young boy, James had wonderful experiences growing up in Utah. He especially was thrilled when he became an Eagle Scout. He also received a scholarship to play basketball at Utah State University. James served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California where he was an assistant to the president. He then attended the University of Utah, where he was an active member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He continued his education at the University of Utah Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree. He has been a prominent lawyer in the Modesto, California area for over 30 years. James enjoyed the practice of law and was an active and well respected member of his community. Although he was dedicated to serving others, his love for his family and church always came first.
He married his college sweetheart who was from Rigby, Idaho, Karen Deoine Tall, daughter o f Dr. Aldon and Deoine Tall. They were married on August 14, 1970 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
He is survived by his wife Karen, his three sons, Patrick James, Matthew Edward, and Jeffrey Robert and his daughter Stefani Karen. He is also survived by his father, Wallace, his four brothers Richard, John, Bill and Mike and his two sisters, Ruth and Michelle.
His memorial service will be held in Modesto, California on Thursday July 31, 2008 at 11:00am at the LDS Sylvan Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Rigby Stake Center. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, in Rigby and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Stake Center. He will be laid to rest in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
