Janet Jones, 71, of LaBelle, died, Friday, December 01, 2006, at her home of natural causes.
Janet was born April 13, 1935 at Hyde Park, Utah a daughter to Bartley Ray Purser and Emma Balls Purser. She attended schools in Rigby graduating from Rigby High School. As a young lady she loved to Rodeo and was Rodeo Queen for the Pioneer Day in Clark. She married A. Ladell Jones July 28, 1964 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She is a member of the LDS Church serving as Relief Society President, Primary President, on the Stake Relief Society Board and other callings. She served a mission with her husband Ladell in the Genealogy Library. With her husband she was a member of the Holiday Dance Club in the upper Snake River valley.
Janet enjoyed sewing, gardening, working side by side with her husband, her grandchildren, serving others, spending time with friends and loved to be with her family doing many fun activities such as boating, fishing and racing snowmobiles up the snowy mountains.
She is survived by her husband, A. Ladell Jones, her mother Emma Purser, a daughter Rebecca (Justin) Jones Thompson, two sons John A. (Julene) Jones, Daniel R. (Judith) Jones, three sisters, Gwen Weeks, Arlene Dayley, Julie Hansen, three brothers, LaVell Purser, Sidney Purser and Eugene Purser, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the LaBelle 2nd ward LDS Chapel with Bishop James Bazil officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
