Janice Ward Larson, age 82, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Rexburg, Idaho surrounded by her loved ones.
Jan was born on August 4, 1943, in Rexburg, Idaho to Ronald and Iola Huskinson Stone. After graduating from Madison high school, she pursued an associate’s degree in education. Jan taught school for many years before going into medical coding.
Jan was happily married to Keith Abram Ward for 47 years before he passed away from cancer. Two years after his passing, Jan married Don Coy Larson. They were happily married for 12 years until her passing.
Jan is survived by her husband, Coy Larson of St. Anthony, Idaho. Her daughters; Janet Hoyle of Perry, Utah, Karen (Chuck) Boots of Great Falls, Montana, and Wendi (Billy) Brower of Sugar City, Idaho. Her stepchildren; Lisa Paige of Ririe, Idaho, Sheldon Larson of Bozeman, Montana, Alvin (Monika) Larson of Ririe, Idaho, Trevor (Katrina) Larson of St. Anthony, ID, ShaRae (Aaron) Ryan of Menan, ID, LaRae Bishop of Idaho Falls, Id, Greg (Leah) Larson of St. Anthony, ID, RaNae Larson of Idaho Falls, ID. A sister, Patricia Ashmont of Mesa Arizona. Forty-eight grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents. Her husband Keith Ward. By Ron Larson, Theresa Larson, Terril L. Stone and Juddy Sue Virgin-Stone.
Jan loved her family above all else and spent all of her free time with them. She also loved the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had many hobbies which included ceramics, painting, and 4-wheeling. She had also spent the later part of her years traveling. She and her husband Keith served an LDS mission at Martin’s Cove. Her and Coy Larson have traveled around the United States and to the Philippines.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 am in the St. Anthony 2nd ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (145 East 1st South, St Anthony, Idaho). The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the church. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
