Janice Marie Prophet

Janice Marie Prophet, age 57, of Rigby, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at the E.I.R.M.C. Janice was born February 15, 1948 in Rigby, Idaho a daughter of John Ray Storms and Nola Walker Storms. She attended grade school in Ammon, Jr. High school at Bonneville and graduated high school at Rigby. Janice married Dale Ray Prophet on March 4, 1966 in Rigby, Idaho. She worked at Idaho Drug in Rigby when she was first married. She later worked for the school lunch program for School District 251 in Rigby where he enjoyed serving the students at the school. Janice was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and sister that dedicated her life to ensure the happiness of her family. Survivors include her husband Dale R. Prophet of Iona, two daughters Barbara (Byron) Morgan of Ririe, Jana (Le Roy) Mendoza of Iona, two sons Jason (Kathy) Prophet of Nampa, and Larry (Crystal) Prophet of Iona, Two sisters Carol (Jim) Bates and Shelley Conrad of Ammon, and one brother Lonnie (Lisa) Roach of Idaho Falls. Five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step father. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Iona 1st Ward Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Jack Edwards officiating. The family will meet with friends on Monday night at the Eckersell Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and prior to the services at the church from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow the services at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
