Janice Ann Reneau, 68 of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at her home.
She was born January 18, 1940, in Ashton, Idaho, a daughter of Tom Reneau, and Elva Davis Reneau. She attended schools in Ashton and graduated from Ashton High School. On September 13, 1963 she married Larry Whitaker in Ashton. They were later divorced.
After graduating from Beautician School in Idaho Falls she worked for Rebecca Goulding Beauty Salon in St. Anthony and later owned her own salons in Ashton and Ririe.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Relief Society Visiting Teaching Coordinator.
Janice enjoyed her cats.
She is survived by her son, Devlyn Wayne Whitaker, of Idaho Falls, a sister, Bonnie Hill of Idaho Falls, and a brother, Wayne Reneau of Rigby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Iona Stake Center, with Bishop Brad Bailey, conducting. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
