Jared Michael Sullivan

April 6, 1975 — November 25, 2013

Jared Michael Sullivan, 38 of Monteview, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He was born April 6, 1975, in Idaho Falls to M. Frank Sullivan and Kaye Torgerson Sullivan. He was raised on the family farm in Monteview and attended schools in Dubois and Terreton. Jared played football and was a bulldogger on the West Jefferson High School Rodeo team. He especially loved wrestling and placed at state his senior year. Coach Sawicki was his favorite role model and he looked up to him throughout his life. Jared graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1993. He continued his education at CSI and received an Agriculture Degree 1995. On March 17, 1995 he married Klarissa Anne Holder in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple; they were blessed with four sons. After college, Jared operated his family’s ranch; he was rarely seen without his boys and made sure they knew how to operate machinery and take care of horses and cattle at a very early age. Jared was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he served in various callings including Young Men’s, Ward Secretary, and Ward Mission Leader. He especially loved teaching young people. Jared enjoyed ranch roping, branding with friends and neighbors, varmint hunting and coaching his boys in sports. We will miss his sense of humor and infectious laugh. We are so blessed because you were ours. He is survived by his wife, Klarissa Sullivan, sons, Hadlee C. Sullivan, Mackray W. Sullivan, Kache M. Sullivan, Ely Sullivan, all of Monteview, Nathan (Tiffany) Myers, of Payson, Utah, Mother, Kaye (Hal) Buster, of St. Anthony, Father, Frank Sullivan of Monteview, sisters, Melissa (J.D.) Nielson, of American Fork, Utah, and Tiffany (Ryan) Wood, of Ogden, Utah. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Monteview LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday evening and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services, both at the church. Burial will be in the West Jefferson Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby.
