Jason K Walker

Jason K Walker was born on November 17, 1982, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Paul and Kathy Walker. From the beginning, he was truly the baby of the family. He passed away August 8, 2026, following a heart attack.

Jason grew up in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School in 2001. During high school, he excelled in both football and baseball. Sports would remain a big part of his life, especially in the years to come as he watched his own boys compete.

After high school, Jason attended trade school at Boise State. He went on to build a career in the trades and, for the past 12 years, owned and operated Fusion Home Services. Through his work, Jason formed many lasting friendships and became someone people knew they could count on.

On February 7, 2004, Jason married the love of his life, Lindsay Leigh Peterson of Rigby. Together they built a home centered around their four boys: Maddox, Trip, Dax, and Ryatt. Of all the roles Jason had in life, being Lindsay’s husband and a dad to their four boys meant the most to him.

Much of his time was happily spent following his boys from one field to the next. Summer weekends were often spent at the baseball diamond, while fall meant football games, practices, and long days on the field. He loved watching his boys play, supporting them, and simply being there.

Jason could be quiet when you first met him, but those who knew him well knew another side of him completely. He was funny, social, and often the life of the party. He had a way of making people laugh and creating memories wherever he went.

Above all, Jason loved his family. He was a husband, a dad, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend, and his absence will be deeply felt by everyone who loved him.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Lindsay; his sons, Maddox, Trip, Dax, and Ryatt; parents, Paul and Kathy Walker of Rigby; his sisters, Cindy Jones (Craig Hart) and Karissa (Jon) Gorton; and his brother, Micheal Walker of Coeur d’Alene.

He is also survived by his in-laws, Lane and Joy Peterson of Lewisville; sisters-in-law Misty (Curtis) Rolfe and Presley Peterson; brothers-in-law Michael (Whitney) Peterson and Shane Peterson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved their “Uncle J.”

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents and sister, Jennifer.

Per Jason’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Family and friends are invited to gather at Eckersell Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 12, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., or Thursday, August 13, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. to visit with the family and remember Jason.

Following Thursday’s gathering, family and close friends are invited to an Open House from 1:00-3:00 p.m. for a time of fellowship and food at the Gorton home. Reach out to the family for the address. Please come prepared to share stories and special memories of Jason.
