Javier Santos-Librado

Javier Santos-Librado, 26 of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Javier was born September 22, 1994 in Salmon, Idaho to Faustino Santos and Magdalena Librado Santos.  He attended elementary school in Leadore, Idaho; middle school in Rigby, Idaho, and graduated from Rigby High School.  Javier loved to play football and basketball; he played Rigby Grid Kid Football, Rigby City Basketball and Junior Varsity Football for Rigby High School.

Javier was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He worked as a ranch hand for Don Lindsey and at Papa Kelsey’s restaurant in Rigby.  Javier was a lot of fun to be around, he loved playing basketball with his brothers, watching movies and making people laugh.  He is loved and will be greatly missed.

Javier is survived by his parents, Faustino and Magdalena Santos of Rigby, Idaho; brothers Abel Santos of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Heladlo Santos of Rigby, Idaho and 2 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Hector Santos.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Garfield Spanish Ward Chapel, 71 N. 3700 E., Rigby, Idaho.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID; and again from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services Wednesday at the church.  Burial will follow at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
