Jay Wendell Sparks Sr.

Jay Wendell Sparks Sr., 47, of Rigby, passed away at his home Wednesday, April 3, 2013. He was born June 26, 1965 in Tremonton, Utah to J. Wendell Sparks and Janeal Forsberg Sparks. He was raised and attended schools in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School. He continued his education at ISU graduating from ISU School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Endoscopy. On February 22, 1985, he married Roselyn Jane Glodo in the Logan LDS Temple. He worked at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. Jay was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed trucks, travel, car shows, and Disneyland. He especially loved traveling with his family. He is survived by his wife, Roselyn Jane Sparks, daughter, Audrey Jane Sparks, son, Jay Wendell Sparks Jr., all of Rigby, parents, J. Wendell & Janeal Sparks, of Pocatello, sisters, Jeri (Dave) Hardy, of Harrisville, Utah, Sheryl (Jim) Davies of Pocatello, and brother, Steve (Karen) Sparks of Pocatello. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 8, 2013, at Grant 1st Ward LDS Chapel, with Bishop Grover Wray, conducting. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
