Jayne L. Moir, age 82, of Idaho Falls, died Friday, September 23, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Rigby. Jayne was born May 13, 1923 in Rigby, Idaho to Herbert Campbell and Effie Bates Campbell. She attended school in Rigby. Jayne married Clifford Ellis on August 17, 1940 and they had one daughter. He was killed on July 17, 1941. On December 8, 1948 she married Alfred Moir in Idaho Falls, Idaho and they had three daughters. Alfred died on December 20, 2001. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Primary and Relief Society in teaching positions and in Presidencies. She was involved in Boy Scouting and helped many boys throughout the years. Jayne loved any activities with her children and family, riding horses, sewing, dancing, bowling, camping, organizing the yearly Campbell reunion, and reading which was her passion.
Survivors include four daughters, Norma (John) Tingey of South Jordan, Utah, Alyce (Kim) Young of Idaho Falls, Susan Cutts of Rigby and Peggy Boll of Idaho Falls; a Sister Lavon Darling of Idaho Falls, brothers, Arthur Campbell of Rockwall, Texas, Thomas Campbell, and Kenneth Campbell both of Idaho Falls; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Jayne was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one sister Lella Shurtliff, one brother Marvin Campbell and one grandson Todd Livingston.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Idaho Falls 11th. Ward LDS Chapel, at 1235 Juniper, Idaho Falls, Idaho with Brett Robbins officiating. The Family will receive friends at the 11th Ward LDS Chapel in Idaho Falls on Friday, September 30, 2005, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
